Ten vehicles destroyed during early morning fire in Jelutong


GEORGE TOWN: Ten vehicles, including nine motorcycles, were destroyed in an early morning fire at Jalan Kurau, Jelutong.

A Penang State Fire and Rescue Department spokesman said a team of firemen were dispatched to the location after receiving a distress call at 3.26am on Thursday (Aug 18).

"Upon arriving at the location, the fire had been put out by the public and firemen conducted an inspection to ensure that the fire was completely extinguished," he said.

No casualties were reported and the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
