Dangdut singer Sheeda escapes injury in car crash


JEMPOL: Dangdut singer Sheeda escaped injury after her car collided with another vehicle along Jalan Kampung Baru Air Hitam near here.

Jempol OCPD Supt Hoo Chang Hook said the 59-year-old singer was driving towards Kuala Lumpur when the accident happened at around 3.10pm on Sunday (Aug 7).

"A car driven by a 25-year-old man suddenly came out of a junction and crashed into the front left side of Sheeda's car.

"The man suffered injuries to his chest while Sheeda did not sustain any," he said in a statement.

Supt Hoo said Sheeda lodged a report after the incident and the case was being probed under Rule 3(2)(B) of the Road Traffic Rules 1959.

It is understood that Sheeda had been invited for a performance here.
