Over 1,300 people in Kelantan get jobs through Jamin Kerja career carnival

KOTA BARU: A total of 1,320 people managed to secure jobs through the Jamin Kerja Career Carnival held in conjunction with the Kelantan Malaysian Family Aspirations (AKM) Tour which took place from July 22 to Sunday (July 24).

Kelantan Social Security Organisation (Socso) Employment Services Unit head Muhammad Syahir Ammar Mohamed said those who have landed a job at the carnival would be called by their respective employers to start work soon.

"The five companies that hire the most are the Malaysia Automotive, Robotics and IoT Institute (MARii), Perhentian Island Resort, 7-Eleven Malaysia Sdn Bhd, Felcra Berhad and Nasrom Driving Academy Sdn Bhd.

"Meanwhile, the automotive sector offers the most job opportunities at the carnival,” he said when met by Bernama at the Sultan Muhammad IV Stadium, here today.

Muhammad Syahir Ammar said during the three-day event, a total of 2,242 job seekers attended interviews with 28 employers.

Meanwhile, Muhamad Najmuddin Mohd Mad, 18, from Kampung Khatib Ali, here, expressed his excitement after securing a job and he could not wait to report for duty on Aug 1.

"I still could not believe that I managed to get a job because this is my first time attending a career carnival,” he said.

Wan Nurul Farhanah Wan Idris, 26, hoped that such programmes would continue to be held in the future to help reduce the unemployment rate, espcially among graduates. - Bernama
