Covid-19 Watch: 2,017 new cases bring total to 4,483,295


PETALING JAYA: Malaysia recorded 2,017 new Covid-19 cases on Wednesday (May 18), says the Health Ministry.

According to the ministry's CovidNow portal, 2,013 of the new Covid-19 infections in the country were local transmissions, while there were 4 imported cases.

This brings the total number of Covid-19 infections in the country to 4,483,295 cases since the pandemic began.

A total of 7 deaths were recorded on Wednesday with 3 classified as being brought in dead, bringing the total to 35,630.
