PETALING JAYA: Malaysia recorded 3,029 new Covid-19 cases on Friday (May 13), says the Health Ministry.
According to the ministry's CovidNow portal, all of the new Covid-19 infections in the country were local transmissions with no imported cases.
This brings the total number of Covid-19 infections in the country to 4,473,500 cases since the pandemic began.
There are currently 28,734 active cases in the country of which 27,358 are under home quarantine, 1,311 are hospitalised and 42 have been placed in intensive care units.
A total of five deaths were recorded on Friday with one case being brought in dead, bringing the total to 35,602.
