SEREMBAN: The state Immigration Department, which has seen a 40% increase in passport applications, has redeployed some of its officers to help out after its operating hours were extended to 10pm.
State department director Kennith Tan Ai Kiang said the increase was also due to some applicants coming from outside the state.
