Dr Wee coached to fly on Dreamliner in Riyadh

PETALING JAYA: Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong had an immersive flying experience on a Boeing flight simulator in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

"Here I am being coached to fly and simulate landing a B-787 Dreamliner by one of Boeing's trainers," said the Transport Minister at the Future Aviation Forum which ended on Wednesday (May 11).

"Boeing engineers also gave us an explanation of the functions and capabilities of the Dreamliner,” he added in a Facebook post.

Dr Wee said a pilot needs to achieve the required flight training before qualifying to fly the Dreamliner 787 aircraft.
