Penang MCA leader creates traditional painting to raise awareness on environment, collects funds

GEORGE TOWN: To raise awareness on environmental issues and to collect funds for the Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR) medical school, a Penang MCA leader used natural resources to create a traditional Chinese painting.

Cheah Chin Woon, who is Penang MCA social movement bureau head, said the painting is inspired by the garbage-filled drain linking to Sungai Pinang, which is said to be among the dirtiest rivers in the country.
