Two men missing, feared buried after quarry rockfall


IPOH: Two men are feared buried after a rockfall incident at a quarry in Keramat Pulai here Tuesday (March 8).

A Perak Fire and Rescue Department spokesman said they received an emergency call about the incident at 9.40am on Tuesday.

"When firemen arrived, the quarry manager informed them that two men were missing, and believed to have serious injuries.

"Two other men managed to escape unharmed," the spokesman said in a statement Tuesday.

"We have called in our Special Tactical Operation and Rescue (Storm) team to search for the victim. The operation is now ongoing," he added.
