Kluang deputy OCPD Deputy Supt Abdul Razak Abdullah Sani said the incident involved two male teenagers aged 16 and 18, while the lorry was driven by a 38-year-old man.

"The incident occurred at 11.40am on Saturday (Jan 29) after the 16-year-old teenager lost control of his motorcycle, went into the opposite lane and crashed into the lorry.

"The victim suffered a serious injury to the head and was pronounced dead at the location while the pillion rider passed away while being treated at the Enche Besar Hajjah Khalsom Hospital," he said in a statement.

He added that the lorry driver was unharmed and that both bodies had been brought over to the hospital for post-mortem.

The case was being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road and Transport Act 1987.

Meanwhile, in an unrelated case, Deputy Supt Abdul Razak informed that police had received a report of a 35-year-old man who suddenly died after going out for a jog with his friend at Taman Seri Impian recreational park.

"The incident occurred when the victim told his friend about his chest pain and having trouble breathing before losing consciousness at 7.20pm on Friday (Jan 28).

"According to the victim’s friend, the victim had previously mentioned his chest pain a couple of times but was unsure if the victim had received any treatment," he said, adding that the body had been brought to Enche Besar Hajjah Khalsom Hospital for post mortem.

He added that inspection of the body did not find any criminal intent signs and the case is being investigated under the Sudden Death Report (SDR).
