KUALA LUMPUR: Unpaid debts of about RM150,000 led to the kidnapping of a foreigner in Ampang.
Ampang Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Mohamad Farouk Eshak said the incident at the early hours of Jan 18 was brought to their attention after the victim contacted his wife, telling her that he was being held in Shah Alam and that the kidnappers demanded a ransom of RM5,000 for his release.
