Covid-19: New daily cases drop below 3,000 mark, with 2,342 reported on Monday (Jan 17)

PETALING JAYA: There were 2,342 new Covid-19 infections reported in Malaysia on Monday (Jan 17), says the Health Ministry.

Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah says this brings the cumulative total number of infections in the country to 2,810,669 cases since the pandemic began.

He added that a more detailed breakdown of Monday's daily infections would be uploaded to the Health Ministry's CovidNow portal at midnight.
