KUALA LUMPUR: Two policemen have been arrested on Thursday (Jan 13) over a death in custody at the Taiping district police headquarters lock-up.
Bukit Aman Integrity and Standards Compliance Department director Datuk Azri Ahmad confirmed the matter in a statement on Thursday.
"Investigations into the case led to four arrests. Two are policemen while two others are inmates.
"All four have been remanded until Jan 20 to assist investigations," he said.
The deceased, a 63-year-old inmate from Taiping Prison, was temporarily placed in the lock-up ahead of a court hearing.
