Covid-19: Don't delay vaccinating children, say medical experts

KUALA LUMPUR: The vaccination programme for children aged five to 11 years old in Malaysia is expected to start soon now that Malaysia’s Drug Control Authority has granted conditional approval for the administration of the Pfizer-BioNTech Covid-19 vaccine to children in that age group.

Although their vaccine dosage will be much lower than that administered to adolescents and adults, many parents feel uneasy about it and have taken to social media to protest the move, saying that their children are too young to be immunised against Covid-19.
