Hiker goes missing at Tanjung Bungah hill, search underway


GEORGE TOWN: A female hiker went missing while hiking at a hill near the Surin Condominium in Tanjung Bungah on Saturday (Jan 8) evening.

She is believed to have started her hike from the Botanical Gardens at 4.30pm but lost her way around the hills near Surin Condominium around 6pm.

The Fire and Rescue Department along with the voluntary firemen squads of Mount Erskine, Penang Hill and Paya Terubong has since conducted searches twice to look for the hiker and the search is still ongoing.
