PETALING JAYA: Former prime minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad was admitted to the National Heart Institute (IJN) on Friday (Jan 7) for an elective medical procedure.
"Due to current standard operating procedures (SOP), no visitors are allowed to visit Dr Mahathir," IJN said in a statement.
The Langkawi MP was admitted to IJN for a full medical check-up on Dec 16 last year.
He was later discharged on Dec 23 after undergoing a series of medical investigations.
