58 more Omicron cases identified, bringing total to 122


PETALING JAYA: A total of 58 new Covid-19 positive cases were confirmed to be of the Omicron variant after whole genome sequencing (WGS) was conducted by the Institute for Medical Research (IMR), says the Health Ministry.

Health Minister Khairy Jamaluddin said that out of these 58 cases, a total of 54 cases were imported while four cases were transmitted locally.
