Cops discover over 12kg of drugs hidden in storeroom

KUALA LUMPUR: Police have uncovered over 12kg of ganja hidden inside a storeroom at a flat along Jalan Kerinchi here.

Brickfields OCPD Asst Comm Amihizam Abdul Shukor said a task force team from the Pantai police station inspected the storeroom at around 12.30am on Tuesday (Dec 7).

"They found three bags containing 12.9kg of the drugs there.

"We are now investigating who hid the drugs there," he said in a statement on Wednesday (Dec 8).

He said they were also conducting intelligence gathering to identify the syndicate involved and how they acquired the drugs.

"We greatly appreciate the cooperation from the community to help eradicate drug distribution activities here," he said.
