Duo injured in vehicle pile-up in NSE

Two men were injured in a vehicle pile up involving a bus and three cars along the North-South Expressway near Bandar Dato Onn, Johor Baru on Dec 7, 2021.

JOHOR BARU: Two men were injured in a vehicle pile-up involving a bus and three cars along the North-South Expressway near here.

A Johor Fire and Rescue Department spokesperson said a tour bus rammed into three cars in the incident which took place near the exit of Bandar Dato Onn on Tuesday (Dec 7) morning.

He said seven firefighters from the Tebrau fire station were sent to the scene, after an emergency call was received at around 9am.

“The bus, which had no passengers, was believed to have rammed into a car, causing the pile-up.

“The crash caused the driver’s leg to get stuck in the car, while the other driver was injured, too.

“Both of them were carried out of their respective cars by members of the public who came to their aid before we arrived,” he said, adding that the bus driver and the other driver were unhurt.

Emergency medical attention was given to both the victims, before they were sent to Hospital Sultan Ismail for following treatments, he added.
