KUCHING: A fruitful discussion took place between Transport Minister Datuk Dr Seri Wee Ka Siong and his Sarawak counterpart Datuk Seri Lee Kim Shin during the former's working visit to the state on Friday (Dec 4).
The entourage comprised the Federal-level Transport Ministry, the Civil Aviation Authority of Malaysia (CAAM) and Malaysia Airports Holdings Bhd (MAHB).
Dr Wee said Lee raised many pertinent issues involving rural air services, development of airports, short take-off and landing ports, Road Transport Department, Sarawak Commercial Vehicle Licensing Board, the Interim Stage Bus Support Fund programme, the Stage Bus Service Transformation (SBST) programme as well as road safety issues.
"I responded to each matter he raised," he said in a Facebook post on Saturday (Dec 4).
Also present at the dinner were Deputy Transport Minister Datuk Henry Sum Agong, Sarawak deputy speaker Datuk Gerawat Gala, Sibuti MP Lukanisman, Transport Ministry deputy secretary-general Datuk Razali Mohamad, CAAM CEO Capt Chester Voo and MAHB managing director Datuk Iskandar Mizal Mahmood.
