PETALING JAYA: The Health Ministry is considering revising the fully-vaccinated status for certain groups to include Covid-19 booster shots, says Khairy Jamaluddin.
The Health Minister said this proposal was still under discussion and had not been finalised yet.
“Next week, we will have a discussion and if there is a need, maybe we will make an announcement on the fully-vaccinated status for perhaps certain groups of people who will be required to obtain the booster dose,” he said during a press conference on Friday (Dec 3).
Khairy added that they would be implementing a more aggressive campaign for those who have not obtained their primary series.
He said the ministry would also be working together with non-governmental organisations to ensure that even undocumented foreign workers would be vaccinated.
He also said that they would intensify their awareness campaign for the booster shots to ensure that the public would understand its importance.
