PETALING JAYA: A school teacher in Puncak Alam, Shah Alam, has filed a defamation suit against Ain Husniza Saiful Nizam, the student who spoke out against a male teacher for allegedly making "rape jokes".

According to a Facebook post of Saiful Nizam Abdul Wahab, Ain's father, the teacher - Khairul Nizam Sanuddin - filed the suit at the Shah Alam Sessions Court on Nov 26.

Saiful Nizam included a picture of him and Ain, holding up the front page of the court filing.

It revealed the teacher as the plaintiff, and Ain and her father as the first and second defendants respectively.

Earlier this year in August, Ain shared that she received a letter of demand from a physical education teacher at the school she previously studied, seeking damages of RM1mil for alleged defamatory remarks she made.

Ain responded to the letter of demand, saying she would counter-sue the teacher for RM5mil for allegedly inflicting intentional emotional distress.
