KUALA LUMPUR: A study to ensure that the cooking oil subsidy can be optimised and to ascertain that its distribution reaches the target group, is expected to be completed next year, the Dewan Rakyat was told on Wednesday (Nov 17).
Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Minister Datuk Seri Alexander Nanta Linggi (pic) said the study which began last October, assessed the effectiveness of the implementation of the existing subsidy programme, covering the effectiveness of delivery, implementation mechanism, degree of leakage and costs involved.
