Ex-1MDB CFO: I never knew there was a difference between the two Aabars

KUALA LUMPUR: Former 1Malaysia Development Bhd (1MDB) chief financial officer told the High Court that he did not know the difference between Aabar Investments PJS and Aabar Investments PJS Ltd, two similar-sounding companies that signed deals with the sovereign wealth fund.

Azmi Tahir, 48, testified that there were two agreements signed with the two Aabars; one was an Option Agreement dated May 18, 2012 with Aabar Investments PJS, while another was a Collaboration Agreement for Credit Enhancement dated May 21, 2012 with Aabar Investments PJS Ltd.
