They will be conferred their awards and titles during an investiture ceremony at Istana Iskandariah in Kuala Kangsar on Nov 14.
Orang Kaya Bendahara Seri Maharaja Jen (Rtd) Tan Sri Mohd Zahidi Zainuddin said the number of recipients were limited, with only those truly eligible and fulfilling the criteria to be conferred the awards.
“The awards this year focus more on the frontliners who have sacrificed their time and energy to combat and stop the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic.
“The remaining awards will be conferred on a date that is consented by the Perak Sultan, pending the situation with the pandemic in the state,” he told reporters at Laman Seri Ridzuan here yesterday.
He also said that both recipients and those on duty on the day of the ceremony were to adhere strictly to the standard operating procedure.
“Recipients are to undergo an RT-PCR swab test at Health Ministry-recognised health facilities three days prior to the ceremony.
“They are also required to use the saliva self-test kit in the morning on the day of the ceremony to ensure that they are free of Covid-19,” he said, urging all Perakians to celebrate Sultan Nazrin’s birthday by flying the state flag at their offices, business premises and homes.
