Helping you lead a healthier lifestyle

THE Covid-19 pandemic has certainly moved people to focus more on their personal health.

With the public increasingly prioritising health and wellness in the post-pandemic world, Watsons Malaysia and Star Media Group (SMG) are joining hands to help Malaysians live healthier through a series of webinars.

The partnership kickstarted with a webinar on ‘Diet vs Supplement: What are Your Options?’ in July to explore the benefits of making supplements a part of our daily routine to complement a healthy and well-balanced diet for optimal health. It was presented by naturopath physician, nutritionist and author Dr Lawrence Lim.

In conjunction with World Heart Day in September, participants were able to learn from National Heart Institute cardiologist and medicine specialist Dr Aslannif Roslan via the ‘Don’t Break Your Heart’ session on how to take charge by breaking behavioural risk factors that could lead to cardiovascular disease, like eating healthy, regular exercise and heart-healthy supplements.

As October marks Breast Cancer Awareness Month (BCWA), Watsons Malaysia together with SMG will once again host a webinar titled ‘Positively Pinktober on Oct 30’ from 10am to 11am. The webinar is in support of this significant cause and to share insights, as well as promote a healthy lifestyle and ways to prevent this disease.

The live webinar will feature Pantai Hospital Kuala Lumpur consultant breast and endocrine surgeon Dr Azlina Firzah Abdul Aziz and Watsons pharmacist Ruby Tay as moderator, who will be sharing with you all that you need to know about breast cancer.

Participants of this webinar will get to learn about signs and symptoms, risks, prevention and treatment options on breast cancer.

The first 100 attendees who register and attend the webinar will receive a Watsons goodie bag worth RM49.90.

Throughout the month of October, Watsons is offering great savings such as purchase with purchase deals up to 50% and RM10 brand vouchers from participating brands.

Part of the proceeds from every purchase of participating brands will be donated to BCWA for its continuous efforts in raising breast cancer awareness and research among Malaysians.

Meanwhile, to help Malaysians keep up with their health, Watsons’ pharmacists will provide free health consultation such as blood pressure test, blood glucose test, smoking cessation consultation, body mass index and visceral fat screening.

Through the Health 45+ programme, Watsons members aged 45 and beyond get to enjoy an additional 5% discount off on vitamins and supplements, as well as 10% discount off on selected pharmacy items such as dispensaries.
