Fully vaccinated husbands or close family members allowed in labour room from Oct 4, says Health DG


KUALA LUMPUR (Bernama): Effective Oct 4, the Health Ministry will allow fully vaccinated husbands or immediate family members to accompany pregnant women in the labour room during childbirth.

Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said the completed vaccination period for the Pfizer, Sinovac and Astra Zeneca vaccines is 14 days after being administered with the second dose while it is 28 days after receiving the single-dose vaccine such as CanSino and Johnson & Johnson.
