Covid-19: Nearly 41 million vaccine jabs given as of Tuesday (Sept 21)


PETALING JAYA: A total of 40,925,929 Covid-19 vaccine doses have been administered in Malaysia as of Tuesday (Sept 21), says the Special Committee on Covid-19 Vaccine Supply (JKJAV).

According to figures released by JKJAV on Twitter, 22,223,652 people or 93.2% of the adult population have received at least one dose of a Covid-19 vaccine, while 18,786,636 individuals or 80.2% of the adult population have completed their inoculations.

JKJAV also reported that a total of 261,255 Covid-19 vaccine doses were administered in the country on Tuesday.

Of this total, 123,414 people received the first dose of a two-dose Covid-19 vaccine, while 137,841 completed their inoculations by getting either the second dose of a two-dose vaccine or a single dose jab.

Sabah saw the most people receiving their first dose with 23,888 jabs given, followed by Johor (17,294), Pahang (15,897) and Perak (14,580).

Johor led the way for completed inoculations with 36,076 doses administered, followed by Sabah (15,805), Kedah (14,578) and Kuala Lumpur (11,650).
