NSC: Several areas in Pahang, Sabah now under EMCO from Friday (Sept 10)


PUTRAJAYA: Four areas in Pahang will be placed under an enhanced movement control order beginning Friday (Sept 10).

The affected areas are Kampung Batu 1 in Temerloh, Kampung Orang Asli Sungai Kiol and Kampung Orang Asli Asli Tekeh in Jerantut, as well as Felda Keratong 8 in Rompin.

In Sabah, Kampung Ulu and Kampung Pasir Putih in Putatan will be placed under EMCO that also begins on Friday.

“These localities will be under EMCO for 14 days until Sept 23,” said the National Security Council on Wednesday (Sept 8).

The NSC also announced the extension of EMCO at several localities; Kampung Orang Asli Simpang Arang in Johor Baru, Johor and the Sri Datai Mining Sdn Bhd staff quarters in Mukah, Sarawak.

The EMCO on these localities has been extended until Sept 16.

Similarly, the EMCO for Kampung Pengalat Kecil in Papar, as well as Kampung Lohan Ulu in Ranau, Sabah, will continue until Sept 23.

Meanwhile, the EMCO placed in several localities has been lifted.

This includes Kampung Orang Asli Kuala Masai in Johor Baru and Ladang Cheekah in Bera.

The other localities where the EMCO has been lifted are in Sabah; Kampung Libang in Ranau, Beverly Hills Phase 5 and Kampung Nambazan in Penampang, Kampung Bergosong and PPR Taman Sri Apas Batu 8 and Rancangan Batu 22 Apas in Tawau; Kampung Gading, Kampung Ulu Sapi and Ladang Melia in Telupid and Ladang Landung Ayang in Kudat.
