JOHOR BARU: The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) has detained a former Johor civil servant officer for allegedly abusing his power and position in awarding contracts to companies that he owned.

It was learnt that following investigations, the 35-year-old suspect, while working as an administrative assistant in the state government office, had allegedly used his position as secretariat in the quotation committee.
