Sentul cops looking for man in snatch theft probe


KUALA LUMPUR: Police are looking for a man to help with investigations over a snatch theft case along Jalan Kuching here, which ended with a teenager losing her arm.

"We are working on identifying and tracking down the suspects responsible for the case," said Sentul OCPD Asst Comm Beh Eng Lai in a statement on Friday (Sept 3), adding that a photo fit of the man has been released.

In the incident which occurred around 1am on Aug 26, Siti Nur Azizah Syafriadi, 17, was thrown off a motorcycle after one of the suspects on another motorcycle flung a helmet at her.

The suspects, who were riding on Yamaha LC and Honda RS150 motorcycles, fled with the motorcycle she was travelling on with her friend.

She suffered injuries to her right arm and an amputation had to be conducted while she was receiving medical treatment at Hospital Kuala Lumpur.
