PETALING JAYA: Former deputy health minister Datuk Rosnah Abdul Rashid Shirlin is the newly appointed special advisor to Health Minister Khairy Jamaluddin.

A check by The Star in the Health Ministry’s directory for the minister’s office lists Rosnah’s appointment.

Rosnah was previously the deputy health minister under former premier Datuk Seri Najib Razak’s leadership from 2009 to 2013.

The Umno supreme council member later served as the deputy works minister from 2013 till 2018, after losing the Papar parliamentary seat in the 14th General Election.

When contacted on Friday (Sept 3), Rosnah also confirmed her appointment.

Khairy, who was appointed as Health Minister by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob, is assisted by two deputies - Datuk Dr Noor Azmi Ghazali and Datuk Aaron Ngo Dagang.
