Muhyiddin hopes Kedah govt will expedite assistance to flood victims


KUALA LUMPUR (Bernama): Caretaker Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin (pic) hopes the Kedah government and related agencies will immediately provide assistance to villagers affected by the upstream rush of water which caused massive floods in the Yan district on Wednesday (Aug 18).

Muhyiddin, who has been closely following news of the incident which affected several villages in the district, said priority should now be given to the security and food supply aspects.
