PUTRAJAYA: Pledging continued commitment to fight human trafficking, the government is looking at increasing penalties, including proposing life imprisonment for convicted offenders.
Home Minister Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainudin said human trafficking is a form of modern-day slavery where around the world, millions of victims are denied their freedom, dignity and basic human rights.
