Bersatu stands by Muhyiddin, says Deputy President


PETALING JAYA: Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu) is behind Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin.

"All Bersatu MPs stand together to express our full unconditional support for Pagoh MP Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin to continue leading the Malaysian government, said Bersatu Deputy President Datuk Seri Ahmad Faizal Azumu in a statement on Thursday (July 29).

"Bersatu also expresses its thanks to all MPs from Perikatan Nasional, Barisan Nasional, Gabungan Parti Sarawak, Parti Bersatu Sabah (PBS) and the four independents that has stated their support for Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin as Prime Minister," he said.

He added that the party agrees with Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah's call for all members of Parliament to focus on the welfare of the people and the agenda of battling Covid-19 during the special Parliament sitting.
