PM delivers words of encouragement to Malaysian Olympic contingent


SEPANG: Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin has delivered his words of encouragement during the National Contingent Flag-Off to the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) on Saturday (July 17) night.

He reminded the national Olympic contingent to always take care of their health and safety while in Tokyo, and he also hoped the national athletes will be able to deliver the country's first gold medal.

Also present at the event was Malaysian Contingent Chief (CDM) to the Tokyo Olympics Datuk Lee Chong Wei and Malaysian Olympic Council President Tan Sri Mohamad Norza Zakaria. Among the National Contingent that departed tonight were from badminton, gymnastics, aquatics and archery events.

The sporting event will start from July 23 and will end on August 8.
