Extra RM1.1bil to fight Covid-19

KLANG: In a bid to curb the surge in Covid-19 infections in the Klang Valley, the Prime Minister says he has in principle agreed to the Health Ministry’s application for a RM1.1bil allocation to enhance the capabilities of healthcare frontliners in fighting the coronavirus.

Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin said the application was made by the ministry’s secretary-general on behalf of the Greater Klang Valley Special Task Force led by Health deputy director-general Datuk Dr Chong Chee Kheong, and the Finance Ministry had been asked to speed up the approval.
