Police looking for woman who allegedly snuck into EMCO area

KUALA LUMPUR: Police here are looking for a woman who allegedly snuck into the Taman Bukit Angkasa People's Housing Project, which is currently under the enhanced movement control order.

Brickfields OCPD Asst Comm Anuar Omar said police received a report on the incident on Friday (July 9) night after a person recorded the woman's actions and the video subsequently went viral on social media.

"Initial investigations revealed that the woman - dressed in a black shirt and white pants - had entered the area to visit her grandmother. We are tracking down the suspect, who is believed to be staying in Puchong," he said when contacted on Saturday (July 10).

He added that the person who recorded the incident has come forward.

"We hope the public can refrain from speculating on the viral video as police are investigating the matter. Everyone must comply with Covid-19 standard operating procedures (SOP). We will take stern action against those who fail to do so," he said.
