KUALA LUMPUR: A total of 52 premises consisting of factories, business premises and construction sites were ordered to close for violating the Covid-19 standard operating procedures (SOP).
Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said this was after a total of 2,226 factories, 14,916 business premises, 1,005 construction sites and 321 workers' hostels were inspected on Friday (July 9).
"The government has stepped up total enforcement in terms of inspections on factories and business premises, as too many are violating the SOP.
"The compliance operation task force consisting of 19,891 members of personnel have been working tirelessly to ensure that all SOP are complied with," he said in a statement on Saturday (July 10).
