Don’t stay silent on abuse, Rina urges public

SEREMBAN: Seventeen children were abused a day on average in the first four months of this year, said Datuk Seri Rina Harun.

The Women, Family and Community Development Minister said almost 35% of the 2,040 cases involved neglect while almost 30% were victims of physical and sexual abuse.
