Ismail Sabri: Two factories, 11 business premises ordered to close for violating SOP


PUTRAJAYA: Two factories and 11 business premises were ordered to close by the task force monitoring standard operating procedure (SOP) compliance.

Senior Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said action against these premises were taken on a single day on Thursday (June 24).

Enforcement officers carried out 1,716 checks on factories and 11,417 business premises.

Cumulatively, the task forces carried out close to 100,000 checks and snap checks nationwide, involving 21,248 enforcement personnel.

“The increase in checks is in line with the announcement to beef up enforcement activities to check on SOP compliance by factories and business premises following reports of SOP violations committed by them,” he said on Friday (June 25).
