PUTRAJAYA: The Health Ministry has identified 22 new Covid-19 clusters on Monday (June 21), 14 of which were detected at workplaces.
Seven other clusters were community outbreaks, while one other was classified as a high-risk group cluster.
Nationwide, there are 844 active clusters.
The Industri Jati Kiri cluster in Selangor had the most cases out of all 22 clusters, with 184 confirmed infections to date.
The cluster was uncovered from a targeted screening exercise involving workers of a factory in Jalan Jati Kiri in Kapar.
One workplace cluster in Johor to originated from an 18-year-old woman who works at a factory in Taman Perindustrian Sri Plentong in Masai.
She developed symptoms on June 13 and tested positive on June 17.
About 53 individuals were tested under this cluster, with 14 confirmed positive.
One of the community clusters found in Miri, Sarawak was linked to individuals who attended an event at Quadraplex RPR Tudan in Permyjaya.
The index case was a 64-year-old man who developed symptoms on June 4 and tested positive on June 12.
So far, 61 individuals linked to this cluster were tested with 20 confirmed positive.
In Kelantan, the Jalan Tok Janggut cluster involved patients and workers of a medical centre in Pasir Puteh.
The cluster has been categorised as a high-risk group.
The index case was a 57-year-old man who tested positive on June 10 after developing symptoms.
So far, 72 people linked to the cluster have been tested and 16 confirmed positive.
Another Kelantan cluster detected at Kampung Tiong in Kota Baru had 13 confirmed cases.
The index case was a 45-year-old Thai woman.
She developed symptoms on June 14 and tested positive on June 18.
