Covid-19: New cluster involving Papar religious school emerges in Sabah

KOTA KINABALU: A new cluster involving a religious school in Papar was reported on Tuesday (May 4), says Sabah Local Government and Housing Minister Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun.

Masidi, who is in charge of Covid-19 affairs in Sabah, said the cluster, dubbed the Pantai Manis cluster, contributed 14 of the 17 new daily cases reported in the Papar district.

In a tweet Tuesday, he said that existing clusters in Kalabakan and Tawau districts had recorded 18 and 23 new cases, respectively.

“(There are) 17 districts (that) recorded zero cases, ” he tweeted, adding that Sabah reported a total of 89 new cases Tuesday.
