Covid-19: 2,195 new cases bring total to 375,054

PETALING JAYA: Malaysia recorded 2,195 new Covid-19 cases on Sunday (April 18), bringing the cumulative total to 375,054.

In a tweet, Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said Sarawak recorded the highest number of cases at 508, followed by Selangor (431), Johor (387) and Kelantan (332).

A total of 1,427 recoveries were recorded, bringing the total number of discharged cases to 353,822, while Malaysia reported 19,854 active cases.

Eight deaths were recorded, bringing the death toll to 1,378.

Currently, 219 people are being treated at intensive care units, with 90 of them requiring ventilator support.
