SEREMBAN: This Tamil New Year was surely a new beginning for three people, including a couple facing the death penalty for drug trafficking, after they were acquitted by the High Court here.
In acquitting crane driver P. Sivaprakash, his wife S. Thulasy, both 49, and a contract worker friend G. Chandran, 40, High Court judge Justice Azizul Azmi Adnan said the prosecution had failed to prove a prima facie case against the trio.
