PETALING JAYA: The Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah and the Raja Permaisuri Agong Tunku Hajah Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah conveyed their deepest condolences to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and the British Royal Family.
This is following the passing of Her Majesty’s husband, Prince Philip, The Duke of Edinburgh.
They noted Prince Philip will be remembered for his steadfast support to the Queen, his unwavering commitment to the Commonwealth of which Malaysia is a proud member and his efforts to promote stronger ties between the United Kingdom and Malaysia.
“Their Majesties’ thoughts are with the Queen, the Royal Family and the British people as we come together to mourn the loss of Prince Philip, ” read a post from Istana Negara’s Instagram account.
Meanwhile, an official from the British High Commission in Kuala Lumpur said taking into account public health considerations and physical distancing requirement, there will be no condolence book signing there.
