Police arrest 52 for SOP offences


PUTRAJAYA: Police arrested 52 people for various movement control order violations, says Senior Minister (Security) Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob.

Among the offences were travelling without permission (12), no physical distancing (12), not wearing face masks (11), premises operating beyond the permitted time (11), failure to record customers’ details (three), and gambling (three).Of the 52 arrested on Thursday, 36 were issued with compounds while the other 16 were remanded.
