Decomposing body found in Kajang drain


KAJANG: A decomposing body was found in a drain near Jalan Broga here Monday (March 15) night.

"At around 8.37pm, police were notified of the find. The body was found clothed in a T-shirt and jeans, but was already decomposing.

"Forensics investigations showed that the man had died around a week ago. A wallet and a mobile phone were also recovered," Kajang OCPD Asst Comm Mohd Zaid Hassan said Tuesday (March 16).

Based on identification found on the body, the victim has been identified as 43-year-old Suresh Nagappan, whose last known address was in Taman Prima Suria.

No weapons were found at the scene and the police currently believe the man had fallen into the drain.

The case has been classified as a Sudden Death Report pending the results of a post mortem.

Those with information on the case are urged to contact their nearest police station.
