Despite arrest warrant, Nur Sajat back on social media

DESPITE being wanted by the authorities, cosmetic entrepreneur Muhammad Sajjad Kamaruzzaman, or more well-known as Nur Sajat, has surfaced on social media recently to promote products, Kosmo! reported.

Muhammad Sajjad uploaded a video on Instagram where he was seen promoting several skincare products and mentioned his controversy with the authorities.

The video garnered over 100,000 views but he later disabled the comment section and made the account private.

On Feb 23, the Shah Alam Syariah High Court issued a warrant arrest against Muhammad Sajjad for failure to show up for his case related to a charge of insulting Islam.

He was charged with dressing up as a woman at a prayer session at his beauty centre in Section 16, Shah Alam, at 7.30pm on Feb 23,2018.

Selangor Islamic Religious Council secretary Dr Ahmad Shahir had said that the council and the Selangor Islamic Religious Department need police help in tracing Muhammad Sajjad’s whereabouts and executing the warrant of arrest.

Tan, popularly known as Lizzy, she said if she had done so, her social media account would have been blocked by the relevant authorities.

“I have no control over judgmental comments made with regard to uploading of my photographs.

“If they were really obscene, my social media account would have been blocked a long time ago as Instagram and Facebook do not have an obscene section, ” she said.
