Health Ministry: 1,745 new cases, seven fatalities bring death toll to 1,148


PUTRAJAYA: Malaysia recorded 1,745 more cases of Covid-19 on Wednesday (March 3), taking the country’s total confirmed infections to 305,880.

The Health Ministry’s daily Covid-19 statistics also reported seven more deaths, bringing Malaysia’s death toll up to 1,148.

Another 2,276 patients have been discharged, which means 280,707 people in the country have recovered from the coronavirus to date.

The number of active cases have now gone down to 24,025 from 24,563 the previous day.

Of that total, 195 are currently under intensive care treatment, with 95 requiring ventilator support.
